Research That Matters
Sensemaking in Science Investigations: What Should We Investigate? (co-authored by Eve Manz and BU Wheelock PhD students Annabel Stoler, Souhaila Nassar, and Genelle Diaz-Silveira)
In this study, the authors describe how they use classroom phenomena to help fifth-grade students engage more successfully in the science and engineering practices of asking questions, planning and carrying out investigations, and constructing explanations.
Race, Racism, and Antiracism in Language Education: The Challenge - and Promise - of Thinking Intersectionality About Sexuality, Gender, Race, and Nationality in Language Education (chapter written by Ashley Moore)
Building on the pioneering 2009 volume, Race, Culture, and Identities in Second Language Education, this book reflects the significant expansion in the research since its publication and offers a wider breadth of perspectives on the complex theoretical terrain of race, racism, and antiracism in language education.
